He is survived by: his wife Karen Sawyer of Henderson; his children, Jimmy Ray Sawyer (Renee) of Tyler, Scotty Sawyer of Colorado, Joel Sawyer (Jenny) of Keller and Sara Davis (Timothy) of Dallas; his stepchildren, Vanessa McElroy (Chad Cook) of Dallas and Doug McElroy (Melissa) of Crowley; his siblings, Becky Cole (Les) of Rockwall and John Sawyer of El Paso; and his grandchildren, James, John, Caden, Carson, Adelyn, Amelia, Timothy Jr., Teresa, Samara and Malory. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
