He is survived by: his wife Gladys Tallent Medcalf; his children, Deborah Stickney, Christy Batchelor, Lucretia Lewis and Brandon Medcalf; his grandchildren, Rodney, Ashley, Justin, Tiffanee, Halston, Chloe, Megan, Caitlyn, Connor and Lauryn; and his brother Mike Medcalf.
