It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Ann Scogin of Huntington, Texas, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Russell and Mary Denman Russell (Denman); her husbands, James Birch and Beamon Scogin; and her brother Ishmael Russell.
She is survived by: her son Randy Birch; her daughter-in-law Eileen Birch; her sister Christal Shaw; her nephew Neal (Carrie Shaw); her niece Sandra Hooper; her great-nephew Walker Shaw; her great-niece Colleen Shaw; her stepchildren, Tim Scogin, Pat, W. C. Scroggins, Leslie and Patrick Richard; her aunts, Joyce Webb and Gladys Russell; her stepgrandchildren, Brad Reid, Heather, Brandi Lankford, Jodi Morgan, Byron, Reilly Garrett, Danielle, Joshua Scogin, Bethany and Kim Scogin; her grandchildren, Patti Schmidt and Billy Schmidt; and her close friends, LaWanna Gainer, Melinda Harris, Lulla Adams, Sharon Berry, Tommie Lowery, Nell Addington, Lorrie Addington and Margie Green.
