In the vast expanse of eternity, Yao-Kuei shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Yao-Kuei farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chao-Song Yang and Su-Yun Cheng; his wife Chiung-Wen; his children, Katy and Danny; and his siblings, Don-Lin, Yao-Ming, Shun-Chin and Hui-Chen.
A memorial service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Crowder Funeral Home (111 E Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX 77598).
He received a number of awards recognizing his contributions to human space flight programs throughout his career, including the NASA Space Flight Awareness Honoree Award, one of the highest employee awards for dedication to quality work and flight safety.
