She was predeceased by: her mother Lorraine Tharp; her daughter Tammy; her husband Howard Pierce; her father Mack Tharp; and her siblings, Thomas Tharp and Charlene Samson.
She is survived by: her brother Raymond Tharp; and her daughters, Debby McElroy and Amy Kelley. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
