It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Catalina Celaya of Hereford, Texas, who passed away on July 26, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vicente Rodriguez and Rafaela Rodriguez (Munoz); her children, Jessie Celaya Jr., Nickie Garcia and Ida Lee Valdez; her great grandchildren, Daniel Marcus Balderaz and Joseph Carlos Celaya; and her siblings, Isabel Aguirre, Manuela Reyes, Gregorio Rodriguez, Jesusita "Judy" Ybarra and Guadalupe Carrasco.
She is survived by: her husband Jesus Celaya; her daughters, Katie Nunez (Jorge) of Hereford, Texas, Angie Balderaz (Danny) of Hereford, Texas and Minnie Rivera of Hereford, Texas; and her siblings, Rafaela Martinez of Poteet, Nicolasa Carrasco of Poteet, Eva Gonzalez of Poteet and Vicenta "Bessie" Romo of Charlotte, Texas.. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, forty-eight great- grandchildren, and lots of great-great grandchildren.
