He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Pat Boyd Busby and Ruth Odell Busby; his nephews, Jay Huneycutt of Houston, TX and James Don Huneycutt of Amarillo, TX.; his sister Ima Jewell Huneycutt; and his brother-in-law Jim Huneycutt. He was also cherished by many loving friends and family.
He loved teaching the Bible and became an ordained minister with The Fellowship Network, taking the pastorship of Dallas Bethel Temple Church in Duncanville, TX in 2010, which he continued until the church was closed in 2021 due to the pandemic.
