He was predeceased by: his parents, Mercede Ramirez and Cruz Ramirez (Lara); his sons, David Munoz and Cruz Ramirez, Jr.; and his siblings, Isidro Ramirez, Lovia Moralez, Martha Baeza and Christina Gamboa.
He is survived by: his wife Isabel "Chavela" Ramirez (Munoz) of Hereford, Texas; his children, Mary Ann Ramirez of Aurora, Lori Ann Samaniego (David) of San Antonio, Sammy Ramirez of Odessa, Johnny Ramirez (Dee) of Hereford, Jimmy Ramirez (Kelly) of Saint Joe, Jerry Ramirez of Amarillo, Texas, Gilbert Ramirez (JoAnn) of Amarillo, Texas and Tommy Ramirez of Amarillo, Texas; and his sister Senida Avila of Midland, Texas. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
