She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Lee and Edith Fay Goodwin (Cockram); her husband Junior Morton Varner; her siblings, Robert Lee, Billy, Jimmy Goodwin, Jo Ann Davis, Lucille Phelps, Nancy Allston, Joyce Marrow and Polly Newton; her grandsons, Eric and Justin Varner; and her daughter-in-law Marcie Varner.
She is survived by: her former spouse Durrel Fortenberry; her sons, Marcus Varner (Phyllis) of Winchester, VA., Dean Varner of Amarillo and Ronnie Varner (Sue) of San Angelo, Texas; and her sisters, Susan Crook of Clarksville, Laura Martin of Mt. Vernon and Sally Branscom of Rio Rancho, NM.. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
