He is survived by: his wife Doris Lucille Jones; his sons, Donnie Wheat (Carol) of Plainview, David Wheat (Glenda) of Hobbs and Jerry Wheat of Hereford, Texas; and his siblings, Kay Wheat Davis of Amarillo, Minnie Wheat Ellis of Lake Jackson, Frances Wheat Rhodler of Brazoria, Texas and Joe Edd Wheat of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; his fourteen, great-grandchildren; his great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
