She was predeceased by: her parents, Heriberto Delateja and Carmen Delateja. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Donald Powell; her children, Teresa Newman, Jared Powell, Rob Powell and Deborah Powell; her grandchildren, Austin Powell, Spencer Powell, Ethan Powell, Haleigh Thetford, Willie Ray Powell, Raylee Powell, Wesley Mae Powell and Geordi Newman; and her sisters, Carmen Bush and Uni Delateja.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made on her behalf to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
