He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Strauss and Julia Woytek Strauss of Hallettsville; and his brothers, Clarence Strauss and Daniel Strauss. He is survived by: his sisters, Irene Fleming of Beaumont and Ida Trojcak of Nederland, Texas; and his significant other Doris Bethea. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
