She was predeceased by: her parents, Martha Ellen Rowell and Marion Barnett Rowell; her former husband James Russell Welker; her husband John B. Magness; her siblings, Euless Rowell, Fred Rowell, Owen Rowell, Leslie Rowell, Richard Rowell, Viola Gibbs and Bobbie Arnold; her children, Michael Welker, Johnny Magness and Gaylene Compton; and her grandchildren, Dina Haas and James Young.

She is survived by: her sister Marion Ellen Slayton of Plainview; her children, Peggy Christopher (Gary Christopher) of Granbury, Phyllis Hancock of Beaverton, OR and Clifton Welker (Suzann Welker) of Woodville; and her daughter-in-law Judy Welker of Somerville. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
