He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Mejia and Cecilia Mejia; his siblings, Juan, Salvador Mejia, Concha Thomas, Aurora Lopez and Raquel Valenzuela; his son-in-law Raymond Hernandez; and his grandsons, Manual Raymundo Hernandez and Steven Castillo.
He is survived by: his siblings, Consuelo Diaz, Raul Mejia, Beatrice Longoria and Gilbert Mejia; his children, Jose N. Cedillo (Kim), Janie Castillo (Paco), Alicia C. Hernandez (John), Ruben Mejia (Yolanda), Mary Ann Revilla (Felix), Sandra Donias (Joe) and S. Linda Regalado (Jerry); and his grandsons, Michael Revilla, Rodolfo Revilla, Nicholas R. Donias, Abel V. Regalado and Jason G. Burkhart. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Even in his last days before being taken to the hospital he helped his disabled roommate brush his teeth, knowing of the consequences of contracting COVID.
