He was predeceased by: his parents, A. E. Skaggs and Georgie Fae Skaggs (Sanders); his sister Julia Cook; and his son-in-law Randy Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Nelson Skaggs; his daughters, Susan Skaggs Eden (Trace) and Sharon Ellis McCuistian (Trent); his grandchildren, Jacob Bodkin (Rupal), Jordan Bodkin, Connor Ellis (Lacey) and Molly Ellis; his great grandchild Lilah Bodkin; and his sister Jane Larch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
