She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward L. Copus and Sally Mason Copus; her husband Felton Dempsey; her son-in-law John Carr; and her siblings, T. P. Musgrove, Norman Copus, Gene Copus, Marjorie Welch and Paul Copus.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Carr of Denison, Texas, Perry Edward Dempsey (Bonnie) of Walnut Springs, Texas and Rebecca Knowles (Richard) of Colleyville, Texas; and her grandchildren, Sally Southard, Beth Powell, Melissa Jones, Ginger Oldham, Teri Lucas and Kurt Dempsey. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
