She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wayne Starnes, Sr. and Ruby Clark Starnes; her husband Lou Shelton; her brother Roy Starnes, Jr.; her daughter Becky Knight; and her great grandchild Krissy Cordray.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Hunt (Doss) of Gladewater, Diana "Pidgeon" Wheat of Gladewater and Jana Watts (Loyd) of Gilmer; and her grandchildren, Michele Philpot (John) of Gladewater, Dee Hunt (Tonya) of Union Grove, Todd McGrede (Jenny) of Watauga, Monica Hardy of Madisonville, James L. Hanson, Jr. of Kilgore, Lisa Schumacher (Scott) of Bellville, Marci Smith of Bryan, Dee Watts of Ore City, Amy Watts of Gilmer and Donny Watts of Glenwood. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; 38 great great grandchildren.
