We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2021, at the age of 85, Bettye Lenorah Edwards of Gladewater, Texas, born in Kilgore, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon S. Flenniken and Jewell Franklin Flenniken; her husband Jim Edwards; her son-in-law Tom Allen; her siblings, Troy Flenniken, Vernon Flenniken, Elizabeth Kramme and Troylene Dean; and her grandson James McWhorter.

She is survived by: her children, Jay Edwards (Nancy) and Lynda Edwards Allen; her grandchildren, Michael McWhorter, Marc McWhorter, Colt Edwards (Kristi) and Sam Edwards (Elizabeth); and her great grandchildren, Bayleigh, Sutton, Evelyn, Connor, Caleb and Penelope Edwards. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to: Citizens on Patrol c/o Longview Police Department, 302 W. Cotton St., Longview, TX 75601 or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1700 Blueridge Pkwy., Longview, TX 75606.
