He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Echols and Dorothy Burdett; his daughter Crystal Dawn Echols; and his siblings, Frank Amos, Calvin Amos, Gene Amos, Arley Echols, Bill Belyeu, Marie Echols and Mae Belle Billinglslea.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Echols of Gilmer; his children, Christy Diane Larkin, Jerry Daniel "Danny" Echols (Donelle), James Frost, Brian Frost (Myrna) and Dawn Easley (John); and his brothers, Dan Echols (Judy) and Paul Echols (Tammy). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
