He was predeceased by: his parents, James Truman Lewis, Sr. and Betty Rush Montgomery; and his siblings, Kenneth Lewis and Lola Lewis. He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Lewis (Barbara), Gary Lewis (Jennifer) and Debbie Smith (Jay); his nieces, Melanie Connely and Jennifer Schaeffer; and his nephew Rowan Schaeffer. He is also survived by the many friends and family members.
