Gordon Eugene Spencer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gordon Eugene Spencer of Gilmer, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Gordon shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gordon farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Spencer and Rayner Moon; and his brother James Richard Spencer. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Nelson; his nieces, Elaine Joyce Tevebaugh, Jolene Spencer and Jolie Parrish; and his cousin Bettye Ezell Renner Wheeler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home - Gilmer (305 W Harrison St, Gilmer, TX 75644). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gilmer City Cemetery (200 Old Coffeeville Rd, Gilmer, TX 75644).
