He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Buchanan and Lynette Bridges Buchanan; his son Christopher Buchanan; his grandsons, Lane Buchanan, Bret Mullins and Rowan Nixon; and his sister Judy Buchanan.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Buchanan; and his children, Scott Mullins (Kim), Ryan Mullins (Heather) and Rebecca Mullins. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
