It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Edwin Kurtz of Giddings, Texas, born in Robstown, Texas, who passed away on September 27, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Kurtz and Mary Kurtz (Hunger); and his siblings, Shirley Baker, Larry Kurtz (Mona) and Gary Kurtz.
He is survived by: his wife LeaAnne Kurtz (Echols) of Giddings; his children, Rob Kurtz (Lindy) of O'Fallon, Chris Kurtz (Christine) of Cary, Becky Kurtz Goebel of Charlotte, Gary Wade Smith (Stephanie) of Giddings and Stephen Smith (Nikki) of Wichita Falls; his brothers, Ronnie Kurtz (Pam) of Rockport and Arnold Kurtz (Norma) of Portland; his brother-in-law Bobby Barker of Aransas Pass; and his aunts, Emily Frazier of Corpus Christi and Donna Kurtz of Floresville. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of one's choice.
