He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Burttschell and Mamie Burttschell. He is survived by: his former wife Patsy La Rue Young; his wife Patsy Burttschell of Giddings; and his sons, David Burttschell (Paula) of Giddings and Lynn Burttschell of Wimberly. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five siblings, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
