It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herbert Ewald Dube (Giddings, Texas), who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, August Dube and Anna Dube; his wife Alma Dube; his son-in-law John Kalmbach; his siblings, Elsie Jenke (Ernst), Adele Jenke (Richard), Erna Patschke (Adolph), Ruth Bass (Robert) and Edwin Dube (Katie); his parents-in-law, John and Martha Fischer; and his siblings-in-law, Bernice Fischer, Louise Reinhardt (Marvin), Lina Hedricks (Russell), Erna Lehmann (Louis), Lydia Schimank (Edgar), Martha Fischer, Bernell Teinert (Marvin), Erich Fischer (Bertha), William Fischer, Johann Fischer, Carl Fischer (Mildred) and Alfred Fischer.

He is survived by: his children, Frances Kalmbach of Fedor, Gary Dube (Kathy) of Fedor and John Dube (Kathy) of Austin; his grandchildren, Philip Kalmbach of Fedor, Anna Verbeek (Brett) of Colorado, Michael Kalmbach (Arlene) of Fedor, Bridget West (Nicholas) of College Station, Amanda Anderson (Ross) of College Station, Tyler Dube (Sara) of Austin and Sara Burke of Austin; his great grandchildren, Landon, Wyatt, Dylan Verbeek of Colorado, Liam, Henry Kalmbach of Fedor, Adalyn, Brielle, Riley West of College Station, Macie Anderson of College Station, Sloane and Levi Dube of Austin; and his sister-in-law Elinor Fischer of Houston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held, and a public memorial service will take place at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, Bec's Blessing in Giddings, or to the charity of one's choice.
