He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Birkelbach Jr. and Gladys Pauline Birkelbach (Polasek); and his parents-in-law, Louis Sr. and Thelma Schatte. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Birkelbach (Schatte) of Giddings; his children, Justin Birkelbach of Giddings, Brooke Kovar (Chris) of Giddings, Jared Lehmann (Ashley) of Kerrville and Jonathan Lehmann (Jordan) of Cedar Park; his grandchildren, Avery Davis of Giddings, Andrew Davis of Giddings, Whit Kovar of Giddings, Jadynn Lehmann of Cedar Park, Jacey Lehmann of Cedar Park, Jordyn Lehmann of Cedar Park, Zoe Saldana of Kerrville and Brandon Lehmann of Kerrville; and his sisters, Brenda Bethke (Johnny) of Magnolia and Connie Tomaszewski (Richard) of Hockley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic, wearing of masks and social distancing is recommended.
