She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert John Moerbe and Irene Ruth Moerbe (Schubert); her parents-in-law, Earl Orts, Elfay and L. D. Mahlman; and her brothers-in-law, Delward Orts and Kervin Orts.

She is survived by: her husband Joe Orts of Giddings; her daughters, Christine Hunt (Shannon) of Giddings and Janna Nail (James) of College Station; her grandchildren, Coy Hunt of Ft. Stewart, GA, Ely Hunt of Giddings and Bailey Nail of College Station; her sister Judy Matthijetz (Albert) of Giddings; her niece Sharon Proske (Ricky) of Giddings; her great-niece Sara Prellop (Bruce); her great-nephew Christopher Proske; her nephew Douglas Matthijetz (Inez) of Corpus Christi; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Marisa Matthijetz and Isaac Mathijetz.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School in Giddings or to the charity of one's choice.
