He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Freitag Hagney (Tom Hagney), Anne Freitag Bates of Midland, Cathy Freitag Erck (Steve Erck), Helen Freitag Cunningham (David Cunningham), Jean Freitag Bondy (Brian Bondy) and Sara Freitag (Sylvia Trambaugh); his stepdaughters, Cyd Reso of Ashville and Renee Reso of Upper Montclair; his grandchildren, Jay Bates (Tanji), Patrick Cunningham, Austin Erck (Jade), Ryan Erck (Kasey), Lauren Bondy Becker (Andrew), Erin Bondy (Alex Henry), Caitlin Erck, Katherine Starkey and Patrick Starkey; his great grandchildren, Kyrian Bates, Aubrey Erck, Margo Bates, Liam Erck, Emery Becker, Sloane Bates and Parks Becker; his sister-in-law Nancy Nowotny; his nephews, Matt Nowotny and David Nowotny; and his cousin Tom Berger of St. Louis Missouri.
