It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sofia Bernal of George West, Texas, who passed away on January 16, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Ybanez and Guadalupe Ybanez (Garcia); her husband Paul Bernal; and her grandson George Paul Bernal II. She is survived by: her children, George P. Bernal (Dora) of Corpus Christi, Stephen Bernal (Alice) of George West, Edward Bernal (Elena) of George West, Sandra Cisneros (Thomas) of Round Rock and Jo Ann Busby (Larry) of George West. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
