He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley D. Blackwell and Ama Lee Lawrence; his stepfather Lawrence; and his brother Perry D. Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his son John; his daughter-in-law Lana Blackwell; his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law Michael Pickett; and his grandchildren, Katherine Blackwell, Gunnar Blackwell, Maxwell Pickett and Jackson Pickett. He is also survived by his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Malloy Funerals & Cremations (3028 Broadway Avenue J, Galveston, TX 77550). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
