He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Ray Killen Sr. and Ella Killen (Adams); and his brother William Killen. He is survived by: his wife Diana Killen (Wise); his children, Maranda, Anna, Matthew, Joshua and Andrew; his stepmother Betsy Killen-Barger (Tom); and his siblings, Patricia Peterson (Berry), Elana Serres (Gary), Patsy Hobbs (Walter), Beth Hogan (Bob) and Tony Killen (Monica).
