Cara Sue Ellis wrote a sympathy message

“I am so saddened by the loss of Mr. Dyke. His impact on me has been HUGE. I was a student at Clear Lake Intermediate in his 8th grade Science class in 1974. I was the Top Banana Secretary for my class. The TBS would announce who made the the highest grade-TOP BANANA, the lowest grade was the MILDEWED PEACH, who dropped the most points from the last test was the RUSTY NAIL, and I cannot remember the person who did better than the last test. I have a banana uniform and go BANANAs every Friday.”

Nancy Fountain wrote a sympathy message

“I just learned today of Mr. Dykes Passing when I was fortunate to find a print of his in a local store and snatched it up as I loved its title. We had purchased a print 25 years ago (Safe Haven) in 1997 when we moved to Kingwood Texas . We now live in Allen Texas and I looked up the print I purchased today and learned of his passing. So happy to add a second print (Evening Calm) to our home and will enjoy his beautiful prints and biblical references fondly. My Sympathy to his family.”
