He was predeceased by: his parents, Hughlin Vernon (Jake) and Mary Ellen Vernon; and his wife Kay Elizabeth Thomas Vernon. He is survived by: his sister Mary Francis Fewell (Bernard); his children, Jim (Kelly), Lynn (Sandra) and Shari (Kevin Skaggs); his grandchildren, Kristin (Holly Bartlett), Ryan (Megan), Courtney (Shane Skiles), Seth Jones, Amanda (Tony Munoz), Blake Skaggs and Hailey Skaggs; and his great grandchildren, Logan Skiles, Olivia Bartlett, Liam Skiles, Connor, Avery Vernon and Hayden Bartlett. He is also survived by His family also includes many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
