She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Chatmon and Lillian Chatmon. She is survived by: her husband James Brookins; her daughters, Tilyvonne Howard (Christopher), Tikalashun Chatmon and Sybilla Hall (Will); and her siblings, Annie Helen Spicer, Gloria Anderson (Calvin), Lena Matlock, Hortense Russell, Diane Matthews and Larry Yarborough. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grace Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church (4200 E Berry St, Fort Worth, TX 76105).
