He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Pruitt; his son Lewis Pruitt Jr.; his parents, Christen Tillison and Sidney Tillison; and his brothers, Jack Pruitt Sr. and Earnest Pruitt Sr..
He is survived by: his sister Mary Jackson of Ben Wheeler, Texas; his daughters, Rebecca Kellogg, Reba Pruitt of Forney, Texas, Tena Brandt of Dallas and Theressa Reschke (Mark) of Dallas; and his stepsons, William Choate (Sara) of Kaufman and Bobby Noble (Bobbie). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
