She subsequently began her career at the Oklahoma State University Foundation, using her people skills and considerable writing talent in creating written correspondence to engage OSU Foundation donors. She retired from the Foundation and remained in Stillwater until moving to Dallas in 2020 to be near her daughter Brooke and her family.
