She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Ruben Medina; and her brothers, Robert Walters (Maria) and Daniel Walters (Cynthia). She is survived by: her children, Ruben Jr. (Laura), Charles (Lisa), Diana Cattarin (Michael), Carmen Buono (Neil), Robert (Amy) and Frank (Kimberly); her brother Col. T. Douglas Walters (Carol); and her pet Chloe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi, TX, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
