She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Plaza and Angela Plaza; her husband Jorge Muniz Sr.; her son Jorge Muniz Jr.; and her siblings, Angel Plaza and Evelyn McGee.

She is survived by: her daughter Sylvia Muniz; her daughter-in-law Emma Muniz; and her siblings, Santo, Saul, Josue, Jorge, Carlos, Johnnie, Jesus, Ruben, Awilda and Mickey.
