“As a longtime public affairs NCO for the 149th Fighter Wing, I got to know a lot of my fellow Air Guard members. One of them was Frank, whom I didn't know well, but he was always kind to stop and talk. Since I retired in 2010, we ran into each other twice: once at the Whataburger and once at the Home Depot, both on Fair Avenue in San Antonio. Although I have been working for the Wilson County News for six years, I did not know he lived here in Floresville. My sympathy and prayers -- Greg Ripps”
