Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Douglas Layne Shoemaker of Floresville, Texas, born in El Paso, Texas, who passed away at the age of 61, on April 27, 2022. He was predeceased by: his father Robert Shoemaker; and his parents-in-law, Joyce Bell and Roger Bell. He is survived by: his mother Mary Lou Shoemaker; his wife Allison Bell Shoemaker; his children, Ryan Layne, Andrew Ross Shoemaker and Kailey Michelle Shoemaker Bastinelli (Mike); his siblings, Terri Downer (Bo), Monte Shoemaker (Rosser Kemp) and Dawn Cruz; and his son Drew. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Floresville United Methodist Church.
