He is survived by: his children, Desire Witherspoon, Christopher Ray Yates (Tiffany Talley Yates), Loraine Zuniga (Robert) and Stephanie Yates; his grandchildren, Story Witherspoon, Cody Yates, Jody Yates, Brittany Hayes, Madeline Grace Velasquez, Calley Ray Yates and Chandler John Yates; and his siblings, Orvetta Grayson (Gerald), Janice Martin (Joe), Murry Yates (Diane) and Donna Upshaw. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
