It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Cook (Elmo, Texas), born in Linden, Texas, who passed away on November 7, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Dora Jeannette Cook; his parents, James Fletcher Cook and Susie Ann Cook; and his sisters, Bessie Pearl Surratt and Minnie Merle Mitchell.
He is survived by: his daughter Barry Cook of Elmo, Texas; his siblings, Kim Bryant (Billy) of Tatum, Texas and Mildred Marie McDuffie of Linden, Texas; his grandchildren, Donald Cook and Glen Taylor Cook; and his great grandchildren, Maggie Dickerson (Blake) of Longview, Amanda Bryant of Tatum, William Bryant of Longview, Courtney Severn (Stephen) of Liberty City, Texas, Erin Berley of Greenville, Texas, Cheyenne Cook (Charlene) of Elmo, Texas, Darby Hunter (Jay) of Mabank, Texas and Shandra Scott (Chad) of Kaufman, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces; nephews; and other family members and friends.
