It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Matus Buenger (El Campo, Texas), born in Ganado, Texas, who passed away on July 27, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Buenger; her siblings, Jerome Matus, Eugene Matus, Sonny Matus and Josephine Janak; and her friend R. J. Strnadel, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Dianne Sims (Gary), Rose Anne Krauskopf (Glenn), Pat Bennett (Steve), Carol Koudela (Paul), Sandy Reese (Gary) and Glenn Buenger (Tyann); her brother Johnny Matus (Betty); her sisters-in-law, Mary Lue Matus and Patty Matus; and her friends, Rose Marie Strnadel, Rodney, Jeff, Scott and Greg Strnadel. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
