He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Bard and Jessie Bard (Vernell Bard). He is survived by: his daughter Connie Brugger (Raymond) of Houston; his grandchildren, Jarett Brugger of Sherman and Tricia Springer of Austin; and his great grandchildren, Chase Springer, Avery Springer and Madison Brugger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church.
