She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Garcia and Simona Garcia; her husband Isidro Valdez; her siblings, Perfecto, Carlos Garcia, Amelia, Maria Ellena Gutierrez and Anita Torrez; and her stepchildren, Maria V. Gonzales and Jesus M. Valdez.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Tovar (Andy) and Marcus Garcia (Danielle); her stepchildren, Norma Gomez, Josie Gonzales (Thomas), Millie Esquibel (Henry), Janie Velasquez (Lupe) and Tencha Rodriguez (Robert); and her sisters, Maria Alvarez, Magdalena Garcia and Ofelia Church. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
