She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry M. Scarborough and Lydia Mae Laird Scarborough; her husband Robert Burl Walters; her sons, Laird Ray Walters and Anthony "Tony" Paul Walters; and her granddaughters, Teri Jayne Anderson and Crystal Ann Walters Seratte.

She is survived by: her sister Virginia Malone; her children, Robert Burl "Bob" Walters, Sandra Lee Bransford (Jesse), Jeffrey Lynn Walters (Jessie) and Sister Virginia Malone; her nephew Roland "Roro" David Malone, Jr.; her grandchildren, Melissa Cherry (Darrell), Hollie Rasberry (Brent), Jessica Carley (Preston) and Laird Ray "Bubba" Walters, Jr.; her great great grandchildren, Laird Ray Walters III, Emma Cerda, Olivia Cerda, Blakely Henscey, Brynlee Henscey and Ryker Petters; and also, Jade Cherry, Derrick Cherry, Drake Cherry, Kaela Petters (Matt), Joshua Rasberry, Brandon Rasberry, Michelle Rasberry, Katelyn Riddle (Bryce), Dalhia Carley, Hendrix Carley, Madden McDowell and Maui McDowell. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
