He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Q. V. (McCoy) and Junior Wallace Brewer; his stepsons, Eugene McCarty and Jack McCarty; and his siblings, Herbert Brewer, Junior Brewer and Barbara Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Effie Brewer; his children, Jay Brewer, Diane Brewer (Army Armstrong), Arlene Parrish (Mike) and Marie Brewer (Fred Monette); his stepchildren, Gidget Gestring (Jimmy), Teresa Monreal (Tony), Cindy Barnhill (Mike) and Bud Yocum (Maryann); and his sisters, Slina Prothe (Leland) and Velma Wehmeyer. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other extended family.
