He is survived by: his wife Irma Gutierrez; his children, Ruth M. Gutierrez (Victor Garibay), Frances G. Cavazos (Daniel), Irma D. Romero (Christopher), Yoseline M. Boudreaux (Joe), Juan M. Alvarado (Lupita), Ruben Alvarado, Jr., Alberto Alvarado (Esther), Raul Alvarado, Olegario Alvarado (Carol), Jesus Alvarado (Norma), Javier Alvarado, Dora A. Alvarado and Araceli Vasquez (Magdaleno); his grandchildren, Andrew, Jared, Grace Garibay, Mayte, Daniel, Cavazos, Desmond, Camille Detiege, Elysse Carter, Lola and Camie Boudreaux; and his siblings, Teresa Garza, Mauricio Gutierrez (Hortencia), Jose Leon Olivo, Juan Manual Contreras (Anna), Jose Luis Contreras (Juana) and Josefina Aguilar. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
