Doris Faye Green Richard Obituary

Doris Faye Richard 77 of Dayton, TX, passed on November 29, 2022, after a long battle with her health.

Services will be held Dec. 10, 2022 at Proctor's Mortuary 2221 Hwy 90 Liberty, TX. Visitation will begin at 10AM until Funeral at 11AM. Interment will be in Wells Cemetery Liberty, TX.

Doris was born May 07, 1945, to Goldie Kirkwood and Jessie Carl Johnson. Doris was born and raised in Ames, TX and graduated from Liberty High School. Doris was a homemaker and the mother of four. Doris resided in Houston, TX and Dallas TX for some years. She eventually moved back home to Ames and then to Dayton, TX with her son, Troy Green, where she resided until her recent move back to Dallas to be with her family after his passing.

Doris accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to Christian Programs on the radio. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Doris had compassion for those who were sick and disabled. She spent many years as caretaker to her sons and other family members. She worked for a brief time as a home health care worker.

Doris is preceded in death by husband Felton Green, Sr., Sons: Felton Green, Jr. and Troy Green, Daughter: Geneva Green, Mother: Goldie Kirkwood, Father: Jessie Carl Johnson and special Grandmother: Ezula Dickerson.

Doris leaves to cherish her memories Daughter: Annie Freddie, Grandchildren: Anthony Freddie, Jr., LaQuintin Green, Kanisha Green, Anna Freddie, Melody (Pedram) Zafarnejad, Great Grandchildren: Quantae Thomas, Aaniah Green, DeKyre Lewis, Skylar Freddie, RaShaud Pearson, Tre'von Lewis, La'Maya Green and a host of other family and friends.
