He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Lovelady and Ada Lovelady; his wife Janice Lovelady; his sister LaRita Jo Foshee; and his grandson Michael Lovelady.

He is survived by: his children, David Lovelady (Glenda) of Yadkinville, NC, Lawrence Lovelady (Tanya) of Lubbock, TX, Lisa Proffitt (Kirk Proffitt) of Dumas, TX and Jena K. Phillips of Amarillo, TX; and his grandchildren, Brock Proffitt, Lance Lovelady (Stacia), Brindy Spann (Jason), Britt Proffitt (Gina), Kaly Teaff (Riley), Kaysha Stroebel (Brandon), Rachel Lovelady (Mike Baldwin), Mallori Comte (Tyler), Colby Lovelady (Hope), Natalie Webb (Joey) and Hayden Phillips (Nicolas Eizmendi). He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, 1000 E. 16th St., Dalhart, TX 79022.
